New brand for the University of Aberdeen The University of Aberdeen as part of it's long term commitment to sustainability decided to abolish the paper cup in it's Tiki Cafes throughout their various campuses. However customers can't have hot beverages dribbling through their fingers, so a campaign was created to get them to start using a SMUG, a mug which is better for the environment and 10p less per refill! Jamjar Creatives was asked to design a brand identity for SMUG, as well design and print as all the associated posters and flyers, badges, stickers. Jamjar Business Gifts produced 2000 of the SMUG travel mugs all fully branded with the SMUG identity! |

Design for new Accommodation Brochure Jamjar was approached to design the University of Aberdeen's Student Accommodation Guide for 2008-2009. We decided to go with a complete change in format in both size shape and style, and the finished result was that we were asked to print 10,000 of them in time for the mailing to every prospective new student around the world!

Design for environment awareness campaign When the ABLE department of the University of Aberdeen asked us to come up with a range of designs to highlight what more could be done by the ordinary person to make a difference to help the environment, we instantly set to work on producing a campaign that could reach the diversity of both students and staff at the University. Jamjar Sign and Display then produced a range of roll-up banners with interchangeable graphics, outdoor display flags and indoor signage & posters to provide a number of portable mediums that could be used both indoors and outdoors in order to make as wide an impact as possible for a minimal outlay. Shelagh, Jamjar's graphic designer on the project said "it was a lot of fun as it gave me an opportunity to try out my illustration skills, I especially loved drawing Brad and Janet, the environmental champions and it's good to know that my designs will be seen by thousands of students and staff alike." |

Banner Time! With Marischal College not being available for University of Aberdeen graduations anymore, this year's graduations took place at Elphinstone Hall, in front of Kings Lawn. Jamjar had the job of producing & installing over 100 meters of graphics and banners to decorate the marquee and surrounding areas to bring a party atmosphere to the otherwise usually tranquil Kings lawn. The one pictured is 15 meters, that's a BIG ol' banner and there are three of them!
